The Johnson volleyball team split a pair of Region 8-AAAAA matches Thursday.
The Lady Knights (12-11, 1-1 Region 8-AAAAA) opened with a tough loss to Walnut Grove 25-18, 23-25, 25-14 in three sets.
Johnson answered with a two-set sweep of Cedar Shoals, 25-12 and 25-16.
Grace Eidson led Johnson with seven aces, 11 kills, 11 assists, and 15 digs. Julia Bowers added five aces and 11 digs, Alivia Farley had eight assists and nine digs, Emily Pena five aces and 20 points on serve, and Emma Hernandez had eight kills and five blocks.
Johnson next will travel to Flowery Branch and Tuesday.
