Georgia Department of Transportation crews will be closing lanes overnight as construciton continues on the extension to the I-85 express lanes in North Gwinnett.
Crews will close the lanes for hauling starting Wednesday, from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m., according to a news release from GDOT.
A left lane closure will take place through Sunday, while a right lane closure will take place through Friday.
Only the southbound side of the interstate will be affected, in the areas of Mile Marker 115.5 (north of Ga. 20), and Mile Marker 110 (near of the Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road exit).
Drivers are advised to use caution in construction zones.
