Hiett wins first Ultimate SLM victory at East Alabama

PHENIX CITY, Ala. - Jason Hiett led all the way Saturday night to score his first career Ultimate Super Late Model win at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama.

Hiett, who hails from Oxford, Alabama, pocketed the $4,000 winner’s payday for dominating the feature.

Hiett started the night by setting fast time in qualifying with a lap at 15.677 seconds, then went on to lead every lap in the main event.

Joe Armistead, Jr. finished in second, with Tod Darda in third, Dennis Franklin in fourth and Hunter Peacock in fifth.

Joey Armistead, Tyler Millwood, Brent Dixon, Ryan Crane and Kenny Collins rounded out the top ten.

The Ultimate Super Late Model Series returns to action on Oct. 7-8 at North Carolina’s Dublin Motor Speedway with $10,000 on the line for the win.
