By Caleb Hutchins Assistant News Director

Five people have been arrested, including two charged with murder, after a deadly shooting in Lawrenceville Friday evening.

According to a press release from the Gwinnett County Police Department, 20-year-old Noel Reed of Duluth was found dead from gunshot wounds at the Lake Sweetwater Apartments on Sweetwater Road just after 8:00 and five suspects were later arrested after being pulled over in a car matching a description by a witness.

Gwinnett County Police Sgt. R.E. Long said the suspects were interviewed by police, and authorities found sufficient information from those interviews to charge two of the suspects, 23-year-old Sean Swanson and 17-year-old Tia Coleman, with murder and aggravated assault.

The other three suspects, 20-year-old Darquez Fullwood, 23-year-old Dominic Fullwood and 23-year-old Terrell McCallum, were all charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana as police say they believe the shooting happened as the result of an attempt to sell marijuana to the victim. Swanson and Coleman also face charges of possession with intent to distribute. Long said marijuana was found in the suspects' car.

"A search warrant was executed on that vehicle and a number of items in connection with the incident were located, including a quantity of marijuana," Long said.

Detectives believe that the victim tried to steal marijuana from the suspects and produced a handgun before one of the suspects also pulled a gun and shot the victim.

Long said all five suspects are being held in the Gwinnett County Detention Center with no bond and Reed's body has been sent to the Gwinnett County Medical Examiner's Office.

"The investigation is continuing and there is the possibility of additional charges to all five," Long said.
