White County falls at Franklin County, 26-7

CARNESVILLE — White County battled the elements and a fired up Franklin County football team before falling to the Lions 26-7 on Friday in Carnesville.

Kaleb Crane had 16 carries for 64 yards and Nasser Clark added 9 for 55 yards to pace the Warriors (0-1) on oiffense.

White County's touchdown came on an 18-yard halfback pass from Sevaughn Clark to Dillon Wilson.

The Warriors could not stop Lions quarterback Tyrique David, who rushed 8 times for 126 yards and 3 scores. He also threw an 18-yard scoring pass. Fullback Conner Williams also rushed 23 times for 134 yards.

White County will look to bounce back next week at Lumpkin County.
