GAINESVILLE — Gainesville split a pair of matches Thursday in girls volleyball action.
The Lady Red Elephants opened with a win over Dawson County 25-11, 25-8 and then lost to Lakeview as the Lady Lions rallied from a set down for a 23-25, 25-13,-25-18.
Savannah Roys led Gainesville with 13 aces, 18 assists, 11 digs, and 10 kills. Abby Alexander had seven kills and 2 1/2 blocks, Tangi Miller added four kills, Cori Griffith provided three kills and one block, and Camille Holcomb had 18 assists for the Lady Red Elephants.
Isabella Appling added six digs, Caroline Mercer finished with nine digs and five aces, Ashley Filson had two aces and five digs, Camille Calkins added five kills and one block, and Anna Wylie had six kills.
Gainesville (2-2) will play host to North Hall next Thursday.
