Gainesville lawyer named RNC's National Director of African American Political Engagement

A local lawyer, Ashley Bell of Gainesville, has been named a senior strategist and the national director of African American political engagement by the Republican National Committee, officials announced Tuesday afternoon

“I'm encouraged by the RNC's hire of Ashley Bell and his team to be an additional veteran resource to me and the Trump campaign as we make the case for change to black voters,” said Trump Campaign Senior Advisor for African American Outreach Omarosa Manigault in a press release.

Bell previously served on the Hall County Commission, and as a delegate at the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.

Bell is a frequent host on the "Morning Talk" program on WDUN, which airs weekdays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
