Four teens hurt in early-morning crash at Lake Russell

MT. AIRY — A single-car wreck near Mt. Airy sent four teenagers to the hospital early Tuesday. 

The wreck happened on Lake Russell Road near the boat ramp and involved a Nissan passenger car. 

While negotiating a right curve headed toward Mt. Airy, the car crossed the centerline and struck a large post, then the gate. The wreck happened about 5 a.m. 

The vehicle's occupants were taken by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. 

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.
