Mark Arnold is the new Deputy Fire Chief with Hall County Fire Services, officials announced Tuesday.
Arnold, who has 28 years of experience in the department, previously served as a Brigade Commander, according to a press release.
"I am thankful for the opportunity afforded me by the Fire Chief (Jeff Hood) to serve the citizens of Hall County in the capacity of Deputy Fire Chief. This would not have been possible without the help and guidance of many people throughout my career," said Arnold.
Arnold also serves on the Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council and as a Georgia Smoke Diver.
His promotion is effective immediately.
Chad Black previously served in the position, and retired in March.
