LAVONIA, Ga. - David Smith took home top honors in Friday night’s Charlie Mize Memorial for the FASTRAK Racing Series at Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, Ga.
The win was worth $2,000 to the Inman, South Carolina native.
Ron Parker started the night by turning in the fast time in qualifying. Smith would power to the lead, and move away to take the victory.
Travis Pennington finished in second, with Cla Knight in third, Parker in fourth and Danny Sanders in fifth.
Colby Cannon, Drew Cole, David McCoy, Will Beard and Chris Steele rounded out the top ten.
In preliminary action, Smith, Knight and Frankie Beard won in the heat races.
The FASTRAK Racing Series travels next to Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, Virginia for a $3,000 to win race on August. 6.
