Robbie Allison scores Anderson Super Limited victory

A driver whose family has a strong history in stock car racing made a trip to victory lane at Anderson Motor Speedway on Friday night.

Robbie Allison scored his second Super Limited feature of the season at the Williamston, SC raceway. Allison is the son of late Daytona 500 champion Davey Allison and grandson of NASCAR Hall of Famer Bobby Allison.

Allison held off Phillip Peters for the win, adding a second trophy to the one he scored at the speedway back on April 29.

Shaun Mize finished in third, with Jacob York in fourth and Joe Wilder in fifth.

Davey Smart, Steve Carver, Billy Coker, Marion Thomas and Jack Robertson rounded out the top ten.

In other action, Buster Thrasher took the victory in the Mini Stock feature. David Darnell finished in second, with Chad Campbell in third, Ryan Howard in fourth and Tyler Sease in fifth.

Chris Whitfield topped the Renegade field to take the feature win, with Chad Watt in second, Shane Brown in third, Billy Brown in fourth and Jonathon Ragsdale in fifth.

Jason McDowell was the winner in the BM Modified feature. Austin Northcutt finished in second, with Trevor Sanders third, Mitchell Stone fourth and Taylor Marshall fifth.

Justin Ashley took the victory in the US Legends feature race. Michael Womack, Connor Pyle, Karl Moberg and Randy Gunton rounded out the top five.

In the Bandolero feature, Josh Spees beat out Max Hennebaul for the win, with D.J. Canipe in third, Luke Cooper in fourth and Ethan Northfleet in fifth.

Chris Harvell was the winner in the Front Wheel Drive feature. Tommy Davis ran second, with Michael Posey third, Casey Burkett fourth and Tom Davis fifth.
