SENOIA, Ga. - Clint “Cat Daddy” Smith added to his win total in Saturday night’s Limited Late Model feature at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Ga. Saturday night, despite not being the first to cross the finish line.
Michael Page finished a car length out front at the end, but Page was too light at the scales in post race tech, and was stripped of the victory, handing it to Smith.
Smith chased Michael Page for the entire length of the feature, but could not get enough momentum to overtake the top position. Page’s disqualification moved Smith into victory lane. Rucker Orr was moved to second, with Glenn Morris third, Toney Kemp in fourth and Matt Larson in fifth.
In the Super Late Model feature, Smith chased down fast qualifier Mason Massey. Smith took advantage of a bobble by Massey in turn two of lap 19, taking the lead and moving on to grab his second win of the night. Ricky Williams finished in third, with Lamar Haygood in fourth and Chad Marchman in fifth.
Michael Page did not have any issues on the track or in the technical inspection area after the Crate Late Model feature. Page snared the lead away from pole sitter Jimmy Thomas at the drop of the green flag. Page then bolted to large leads over Thomas, Matt Black and Mike Bruner, Jr. over several restarts.
The final run to the checkers saw Page cruise to the $1000 pay day ahead of Black in second and Mark Page in third. Thomas finished in fourth ahead of Marty Lunsford in fifth.
Jody Knowles led flag to flag in the B Cadet feature race to take the win. Matthew Knight, Mark Knight, Bobby Arnold and Parrish Duncan rounded out the top five.
Joe Hillman was flagged the winner of the Hobby Stock feature, but lost the race in post-race tech when he was disqualfiifed for unapproved shocks. That gave Randy Cornwell his eighth feature win of the season. Gary Brand moved to second, with Blake Harmon third, Josh Pitt in fourth and Pappy Powell in fifth.
Dorough Bright worked past Chris Arnett on the final lap of the Bomber feature to steal a victory. Tim Harmon finished third, with Jim Jackson fourth and Shane Tidwell in fifth.
Keith West bested the field of Mini Stock racers to win his first career feature at Senoia Raceway. Ronnie Teal finished second, with Harold Leath in third, Gary Parker in fourth and Jamie Nicholson, Jr. in fifth.
