Suwanee looks for input on proposed park in 'Town Center West'

A new park could be coming to the proposed Town Center West in Suwanee, and city officials are looking for input from citizens on what they'd like to see.

City staff will conduct "man on the street" interviews with residents throughout June, along with regular interviews with stakeholders, according to a press release.

Residents can also weigh in online.

“The type and character of this park is still to be determined. The proximity to Town Center provides an opportunity to enhance both locations,” said Marty Allen, city manager.

Officials are looking for creative ideas for the space, said Allen.

City council members first approved a $48-thousand consulting contract to help master plan the property at the end of April.

The site, approximately 20 acres, sits adjacent to Main Street, behind the library.
