Eight teams from the Hall County School System participated in the 2016 Odyssey of the Mind World Finals recently and placed, by event and category, as follows in the problem-solving competition:
No-Cycle Recycle-
Div. I
- Martin Technology Academy placed 24th out of a field of 56 teams Div. II
- Da Vinci Academy placed 14th out of a field of 61 teams
Something Fishy- Div. I
- World Language Academy received a thrid-place trophy out of a field of 55 Div. II
- C.W. Davis Middle School placed 10th out of a field of 58 teams
Aesop gone Viral Div. II
- Da Vinci Academy placed 10th out of a field of 61 teams
Stack Attack! Div. II
- C.W. Davis Middle SChool received a third-place trophy out of a field of 55 teams Div. III
- Flowery Branch High School placed 8th out of a field of 39 teams
Fur, Fins, Feathers, & Friends Div. III
- Flowery Branch High School were called out and recognized for 6th place out of a field of 52 teams
The event was held at Iowa State University and more than 20,000 people packed the university arena for the closing ceremonies.
