The Piedmont College Theatre Department is now enrolling middle and high school students for the 2016 Summer Theatre Camp, which will be held June 20–24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Swanson Center for Performing Arts and Communications in Demorest.
“The camp will be a creative outlet for students new to theatre and those with a variety of experiences on the stage,” said camp director Bill Gabelhausen, chair of the Piedmont Theatre Department. “The days are filled with drama exercises, character construction activities, basic stage craft skills and ‘filling the space’ with characters who come alive both vocally and physically.” On the final day of camp, students will perform in a showcase for their families, friends, and community members.
The cost of camp is $100 and includes lunch for all campers. For more information and registration, please contact Bill Gabelhausen at [email protected]. Camp enrollment is limited to the first 20 twenty students.
