The body pulled from Lake Lanier Thursday afternoon has been identified as a missing Dekalb County firefighter.
The body, identified as Jason Blalock, 37, of Buford, according to Hall County Deputy Fire Chief Chad Black was sent away from the scene to be identified around 4 p.m. Blalock was identified as the victim at 6 p.m.
The body was found with SONAR equipment as crews searched for a missing firefighter who was last seen at Sunset Cover Marina.
Blalock was last seen after going to a party with friends, and did not show up for work Monday.
