The two men running for chairman of the Hall County Board of Commissioners are scheduled to appear at a special meeting next week of the South Hall Republican Club.
Steve Gailey and Richard Higgans are the only candidates for the post, which is being vacated by Dick Mecum. They will square-off in the May 24 Republican Primary.
Club officials say the meeting, which is open to the public, will be held Monday at 6:30 at Spout Springs Library. An email from the club says there will be prepared questions and some will be taken from the floor, if time permits.
In addition, state Representatives Timothy Barr and Emory Dunahoo will review the recently-completed legislative session.
