MONROE — The Lakeview Academy soccer teams both came away with big Region 8-A road wins over George Walton Academy Tuesday night.
The Lakeview boys (9-5-1, 7-0 Region 8-A) took a 6-1 win while the Lady Lions won 7-2.
Both teams now will travel to Hebron Christian on Friday to play for region titles.
For the boys, Andrew Miller Bell had three goals and one assist to lead the offense. Bryce Kimball had a goal and an assist while Raunaq Sharif and Jack Perkins each had one goal for the Lions. Cameron sheeram had two assists.
In the girls match, Meredith Tucker hooked up with Carmen Wagner for three goals in the first four minutes of the second half. Wagner finished with five goals, Meredith Tucker had one goal, and Bree Bell had one goal. Tucker also set a school record with six assists on the day.
