A brief investigation involving Habersham County authorities and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) resulted in the arrests of three people in Alto on Tuesday.
Christopher Allison and Rebecca Patterson, both 34, face charges of "possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana less (than 1 ounce) and possession of drug-related objects," according to the ARDEO's Ken Howard.
Another individual, Dahlonega resident Randall Adams, 59, was arrested on a lesser charge of possession of methamphetamine.
Howard said the investigation started early Tuesday when ARDEO agents and Habersham County Sheriff's deputies received mutiple tips related to drug activity in the Alto area.
The investigation led authorities to a Herrin Mill Road residence in Alto where they discovered "suspected methamphetamine packaged for sale, suspected marijuana and suspected drug paraphernalia."
The three suspects on scene were arrested without incident and transported to the Habersham County Detention Center.
