More charges filed against alleged Buford rapist

A Buford man, already in custody for a series of alleged sexual assaults, now faces a longer list of charges.

Equeill Williams, 22, was arrested last week by Gwinnett Police after one of his victims, a 28-year-old woman, was able to pull off a wig Williams was wearing, and thus provide a better description to police.

Authorities announced Monday that Williams will also face charges of kidnapping and false imprisonment for the second of four alleged crimes.

In that incident, Williams allegedly requested a sexual favor from a woman at the Rite Aid on Nelson Brogdon Boulevard around 6:30 p.m. on March 3.

The victim refused, and Williams pulled out a hand gun and told her to get into the back seat of her car, police said in a press statement.

He then masturbated, got out of the woman's car and fled the scene in a silver car.

Williams is accused of three other sexual assaults, dating back to August 2015.
