FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The USA South Athletic Conference has released its 2016 All-Conference listing in women's tennis with Nicole Parrish earning the honor. For the senior, this marks her second straight honorable mention selection for the all-conference awards.
Parrish finished the season with an 8-7 mark at the #1 singles position for Piedmont winning her final three matches in regular season play. In doubles with Amanda Blackwell, the pair were 11-5 including a 10-1 mark in their last 11 matches.
The senior from nearby Baldwin, Georgia helped the Lady Lions to their best record since the 2014 season finishing 9-10 in the regular season and 7-5 in conference play.
Sophomore Tatiana Burkett was also honored as the team's representative for the All-Sportsmanship Team.
The Lady Lions will be in action Friday at the USA South Conference Tournament taking on #3 North Carolina Wesleyan College at 10:00 a.m. in Rocky Mount, N.C.
