GAINESVILLE — The Flowery Branch girls golf team nipped host Gainesville Wednesday in a tri-match at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.
The Lady Falcons posted a 141 to a 142 for the Lady Red Elephants. lanier finished with a 161.
The match served as a prelude to the Region 8-AAAAA Tournament, which is scheduled for Monday at Chattahoochee.
Macie Hurst of Flowery Branch took low medalist honors shooting a 37. Ashleigh Bishop of Gainesville carded a 38, Julianna Towns shot a 49, and Arianna Lunsford fired a 55 for Gainesville.
