GAINESVILLE — Lakeview Academy snapped a four-game losing streak with a 5-2 win over Commerce Wednesday at home in Region 8-A action.
Rob Collison got the win on the mound going the distance scattering eight hits and striking out two.
Gabe McConnell led the offense with a two-run single. Rett Kinsey had a RBI double and scored a run and Alec Bornhorst, Peyton Solinsky and Brannon Browner each had one hit and scored a run for the Lions (5-16, 2-11 Region 8-A).
The two teams will play again on Thursday in Commerce.
