HARTWELL — Jefferson dropped a pair of tough games to Hart County Friday in a crucial Region 8-AAA doubleheader.
The Dragons (13-5, 9-3 8-AAA) lost Game 1 3-2 in eight innings. Jefferson tied the game in the seventh but couldn't hold on.
In Game 2, the Bulldogs used a five-run third inning to break a 1-1 tie en route to a 6-2 win.
Jefferson, which remains in second place in the region one-half-game behind Elbert County (15-3, 8-1), will travel to Jackson County (9-8-1, 5-4) on to begin a three-game series.
