Braxton Nicholson got the win for Chestatee allowing four runs over five innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered six hits.
Cameron Wilson scored the winning run for the War Eagles on an error off the bat of Joe Sutton in the bottom of the seventh inning.
The Riverside Military Academy Eagles Varsity lost 8-7 in seven innings on Tuesday, despite outhitting Chestatee 10 to five.
Chestatee (6-8) had just five hits but was sparked by Sean Irick and Joe Sutton, who teamed up for two hits and four RBI.
Alex Kerns took the loss lasting just 1 1/3 innings yielding one run while walking two and striking out one.
Ricky Jones led Riverside (6-6) with three hits of the Eagles 10 hits.
Chestatee next will travel to Buford on Friday in a Region 8-AAAA battle. Riverside is off for spring break. The Eagles will return April 5 traveling to Rabun County in a Region 8-AA contest.
