Wall leads Wizards to 5th straight win, 117-102 over Hawks

ATLANTA (AP) — John Wall scored 27 points and dished out 14 assists, Bradley Beal chipped in with 25 points, and the Washington Wizards extended their winning streak to a season-high five in a row, cooling off the Atlanta Hawks 117-102 Monday night.

The Hawks came into the game have won five straight and eight of their past nine, pushing to a season-high 12 games above .500. But the Wizards bolstered their playoff hopes with a dazzling offensive display, shooting 51 percent from the field and knocking down 13-of-25 from 3-point range.

Every starter scored in double figures. Otto Porter had 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Jeff Teague led the Hawks with 23 points. Atlanta kept up with the Wizards over the first three quarters, but struggled offensively in the final period.
