JEFFERSON — Jefferson completed a three-game series sweep of Oconee County Friday in Region 8-AAA action at home.
The Dragons got a solid offensive performance in Game 1 in an 8-6 win behind Asher Standridge. In Game 2, Joshua Hutch and Patrick Hickox combined on a seven-hitter in a 3-2 victory. Hickox got the win.
It was a big series win for Jefferson (9-3, 5-1 Region 8-AAA) which remained in second place behind Jackson County in the standings.
The Dragins next will play host to East Jackson on Tuesday in another Region 8-AAA battle.
