GAINESVILLE — Lakeview Academy earned its first win of the season Wednesday routing Johnson 14-2 in five innings at home.
Rob Hamby got the win pitching a complete-game, three-hitter allowing just one earned run while striking out nine.Hamby also had two hits and two RBI at the plate for the Lions (1-3).
Brannon Browner had three hits and two RBI for Lakeview. Seniors Logan Barwick and Rob Collison had two hits and Collins added a apir of RBI for the Lions. Josh Henderson reached base four times for Lakeview, which pounded out 12 hits for the game.
Lakeview Academy next will travel to Lumpkin County on Thursday.
Johnson (1-7) will play host to Berkmar on Friday.
