TIGER — The Lakeview Academy tennis teams won a pair of 3-2 matches over Rabun County Wednesday on the road.
In the boys match, the Lions got the win by sweeping the singles. Trey Wilcox defeated Jonathan Kerwin 8-0 at No. 1, Brooks Hylton beat Jake Toller 8-4 at No. 2, and Brandon Berweiler won by forfeit at no. 3 singles.
In doubles, the Wildcats got wins from Brady Talley and Jonah Ritchie 8-2 over Jonathan Schaefer and Avery Jackson and at No. 2 from the team of Kasen Cannon and Holden Bleckley with an 8-2 win over William Ball and Tyler Grabau,
In the girls match, the Lady Lions also got a sweep in singles for the victory. Damira Augustion defeated Bailey Dillard 8-0 at No. 1 singles, Hallie Reeves beat Presley Jackson 8-3 at No. 2, and Savannaj Scott whipped Maggie Narvil 8-0.
In the doubles, the Lady Wildcats got wins from the No. 1 team of Stephanie Jones and Natalie Webb beating Abby Barford and Lanie Clark 8-3. Brittney Berweiler and Daniela Castro defeated Natalie Clark and Reece Johnson 8-5.
The Lakeview's boys improved to 3-0 on the season. The Lasdy Lions moved to 2-0 with the win.
