By Bryan Pirkle Reporter

Hall County Tax Commissioner Darla Eden announced late Saturday that she will be seeking a second four-year term.

Eden made the announcement by way of a statement given to local media, saying that in her second term she would "continue to work on taxpayer service initiatives, which include going paperless, and working closer with legislation and state policies that directly affect taxpayers."

“It is a great honor to serve the citizens of Hall County,” Eden said. “I have the drive and dedication to support the demands of the ever evolving state tax laws on the local level and keep our taxpayers properly informed. I would very much appreciate your support. “

Eden said the tax commissioner’s office acts as an agent for the state in processing motor vehicle titles and registrations as well as billing and collecting property tax for local governments and municipalities.

A certified public accountant, Eden was elected to office in 2012.
