GAINESVILLE — Dylan Lavender squeezed home Austin Adams in the bottom of the 11th inning to give North Hall a thrilling 4-3 win over Class AAAAAA North Forsyth Saturday at Jody Davis Field.
It was second straight extra inning win for the Trojans (3-2) in as many days. They beat Flowery Branch 4-3 on Friday in extra innings.
The two teams combined to use 10 pitchers in the contest. Caleb Clark got the win for North Hall pitching a scoreless top of the 11th with one strikeout. Trevor Rhys took the loss for the Raiders (3-2) allowing two hits, a walk, and one run in two-thirds of an inning.
Reese Olson started for North Hall and went six innings yielding three runs, only one earned, and striking out two. Jackson Latty and Corban Meeler combined for four innings of one-hit ball in relief.
Adams had three hits and Clark had two hits in an 11-hit attack for North Hall.
North Forysth led 3-0 after single runs in each of the third, fourth, and fifth innings. North Hall cut it to 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth and tied it at three with a pair of runs in the sixth.
Bailey Gerstner and Tyler Sheley had two hits apiece for North Forsyth, who had seven hits in the game.
North Hall next will travel to take on Class AAAAAA West Forsyth on Monday. North Forsyth next will travel to Milton on Thursday.
