OAKWOOD — The Lakeview Academy tennis teams took impressive wins over West Hall Wednesday.
The Lady Lions took a 5-0 win while the boys knocked off the Spartans 4-1.
In the boys match, in singles, Jonathan Kerwin beat Joey Griffing 6-1, 6-4, Brooks Hylton defeated Nathan Green 6-1, 6-2, and in No. 3 West Hall got the win by forfeit. In doubles, Jonathan Schaefer and Avery Jackson beat Jarrett Pineda and Baldo Green 6-1, 6-3 and at No. 2 William Ball and Tyler Grabau won 6-4, 7-6 (3).
In the girls matches, in singles, Damira Augustin defeated Charmy Adajania 6-0, 6-0, Presley Jackson took a tough win over Amanda Burris 6-4, 1-6, 12-10, and Abby Gopfert rallied from a set down to beat Lexxi Bagley 1-6, 6-2, 11-9. In doubles, Abby Barford and Reece Johnson defeated Caroline Tuttle and Leyla Karimzade 6-4, 6-1 and Natalie Clark and Laney Clark kncoked off Anna Kate Clark and Hannah Wilson 6-4, 6-1.
Lakeview Academy will be back in action next Tuesday in a Region 8-A match against Providence Christian.
