A Gainesville man was arrested Thursday and an Oakwood man arrested Dec. 22 for allegedly possessing lewd and sexual photos of minors.
Phillippus Rudolph Uys, 56, of Gainesville and Adam Christian Gregorio Mecomber, 21, of Oakwood are both charged with a felony count of child exploitation, according to Hall County Sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware.
The two cases are unrelated, according to Ware.
Ware was unsure as to the exact ages of the subjects depicted in the photos, which were found on computers.
"There are certain investigators who are alerted when people are downloading and sharing images, and once law enforcement get alerted, an investigation is begun," said Ware.
Uys also faces an immigration hold, and was booked into the Hall County Jail without incident.
Mecomber has since posted bond.
