Gainesville's Hogan rallies to win Rudolph Junior Classic at CGC

GAINESVILLE — Gainesville junior Ryan Hogan fired a second round 1-under par 71 (149) to make up four strokes and win the 2016 Rudolph Championship by a single stroke over first round leader Matthew Cleary from Dalton Tuesday in the 2016 Rudolph Junior Classic at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.

The Rudolph Junior Classic is an annual 36 hole junior tournament hosted by Chattahoochee every year during the Christmas break.
 
Cleary shot a 75 for the second straight day for a two-day total of 150. Wesley Heston finished third with a 153.

In the 14-15 age division, Jack Vajda from Canton shot 74 (151) to win by -two shots over Andrew Hughes 72 (152) and first round leader Brandon Cho 76 (152).

Sam Patterson of Gainesville fired a second round 78 (153) to win by seven shots over David Hughes (160) in the boys 10-13 age division. Josh Ledford was third with a 166.

In the girls 12-18 division, Alison Crenshaw fired a second round 74 (155) to win by a huge 32-stroke margin over Karson Kimsey (187). Caroline Martin finished third with a 188.

Zoey Cho finished with a two-day total of 177 to win the girls 11-and-under division.
