Oakwood police ask for public assistance finding Walmart shoplifter

By B.J. Williams

Oakwood Police Department Investigator Todd Templeton said shoplifting is not unusual, especially this time of year, but he hopes the public can help officers nab a suspect who recently walked out of the Walmart on Mundy Mill Road with a cart full of items.

Templeton said the suspect took a flat screen television, a computer and clothing items and walked out of the store without paying for the items on December 11.

"It was approximately $900 worth of merchandise," Templeton said.

The suspect got into a maroon-colored passenger vehicle that was waiting outside the store and fled the scene.

The suspect will face felony theft charges when apprehended.

Templeton said anyone with information concerning the suspect’s identity should call investigators at 770-534-2364.
