Career marks shattered in win over Agnes Scott

CLEVELAND — The Truett McConnell women's basketball team led for all but the first 26 seconds in an 85-57 win over NCAA Division III institution Agnes Scott Tuesday night in the Bear Cave. The Bears improve to 7-5 on the season.

Anna Murr was the high scorer in the contest, breaking the single game record for made 3-pointers with seven. She scored 21 points, hitting the record-breaking three with 4:40 left in the contest.

Ashley Roby also had a career night, scoring 14 points while dishing out a career-high nine assists. The sophomore also pulled down seven rebounds.

Sarah Hartshorn finished with a career-high 13 points, while Ayanna Wimbush contributed a career-high 12 points.

The Bears shot 37-of-81 from the field, giving the team its second-highest shooting percentage of the year behind a nearly 49 percent showing at Allen University on Dec. 3.

TMU will next host Columbia International on Thursday in the Bear Cave. Tip off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
