FLOWERY BRANCH -- Flowery Branch Chief David Spillers was recognized for 10 years of law enforcement service in the city at last week's city council meeting.
Spillers has spent over 34 years in law enforcement, with all of that time spent at the Hall County Sheriff's Office and the Flowery Branch Police Department. Flowery Branch Councilman Joe Anglin, who is mayor pro-tem and was presiding in the absence of Mayor Mike Miller, presented a plaque to Spillers recognizing his service.
"He has certainly served the folks of Flowery Branch and also Hall County very well," Anglin said. "His loyalty, dedication and friendship are much appreciated."
Spillers began working with the Hall County Sheriff's Office in 1982. He was officially named as the Flowery Branch Police Chief in 2012.
