With the presidential election staying hotly contested late into Tuesday night, results for most North Georgia counties are complete. Overall, Republican Donald Trump did very well in the region, taking nine out of the 10 counties in the area.
Banks County proved to favor Trump the most in the region, with the Republican nominee taking just over 88 percent of the vote. Clinton's strongest performance was in Gwinnett County, where she won by a 51 percent to 44 percent margin. Gwinnett was also the most contested county in the region, with just a seven-point difference between the two major party candidates.
Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson struggled to gain much traction in Northeast Georgia. The strongest percentage turnout for Johnson was just 4.2 percent in Forsyth County. The third party candidate's lowest turnout was in Banks County, with just 1.9 percent of the vote.

Hall County: Trump - 74.6%, Clinton - 22.5%, Johnson - 2.8%
Gwinnett County: Trump - 44.7%, Clinton - 51%, Johnson - 3.7%
Barrow County: Trump - 73.2%, Clinton - 22.8%, Johnson - 3.9%
Jackson County: Trump - 80.4%, Clinton - 16.5%, Johnson - 3.0%
Banks County: Trump - 88.2%, Clinton - 9.8%, Johnson - 1.9%
Habersham County: Trump - 81.7%, Clinton - 15.4%, Johnson - 2.8%
White County: Trump - 82.8%, Clinton - 14.2%, Johnson - 2.9%
Dawson County: Trump - 84.5%, Clinton - 12.3%, Johnson - 3.0%
Forsyth County: Trump - 71.3%, Clinton - 24.0%, Johnson - 4.2%
