“Centennial Christmas” is this year’s theme of the annual parade ushering in the holiday season in Braselton for the 100th edition of the event.
Parade entries will assemble at the Braselton Tech Center on Georgia Highway 53 on Saturday, November 19, and the parade will begin at 10:30.
“We are excited to see how entries will tie in our centennial celebration theme. They might want to depict a certain decade or use a birthday theme – lots of options. Prizes will be awarded in three categories – theme, spirit and best in show,” says downtown director, Amy Pinnell. “Parade entry forms are available at www.downtownbraselton.com or in the downtown office in the Braselton Brothers center.”
Judges are charged to consider several elements, including festive colors, materials, costumes, sponsor signage or holiday greeting, props, craftsmanship and creativity. A companion holiday festival will be held in the Braselton Town Green, and the Tams will perform a free concert during the afternoon hours.
