Hall County Fire Services Battalion Chief Doug Mills retired Friday after 32 years of service.
Mills was recognized for his service by his coworkers at a reception held at Hall County Fire Services Headquarters.
He started his career on August 15, 1984 and was honored as the department's 2009 Fire Officer of the Year and 2011 Staff Officer of the Year. Chief Mills has also served as a volunteer Fire Chief in Towns County since 2001.
