MONTREAT, N.C. — The Truett McConnell women's soccer team won its fourth match in six chances with a 4-0 win over Montreat Wednesday afternoon. The Bears are now 8-7 overall and 4-4 in league play.
Paige Williams scored the lone goal late in the first half, scoring in the 43rd minute of play. After the half, Jasmin Lanuza, Brooke Wilson and Holly Peppers scored the final three goals of the match.
TMU had 37 shots, 28 of which were on goal, while the back line for the Bears held the Cavaliers to just seven shots and just four on goal.
The Bears will come home for the final time on Monday for a 3 p.m. kick against Milligan.
