By AccessWDUN staff

ProCare Rx broke ground Friday morning on a 31,200 square foot addition to its headquarters and operations center in Gainesville.

Located off I-985 at Exit 20, ProCare RX has more than doubled its Georgia employment to 217 since opening its 40,000 square foot headquarters and operations center in in 2012.  Founded in 1988 by Roger and Barbara Burgess, the company provides Healthcare Information Technology, specialty pharmacy and pharmacy benefit management services.

Roger Burgess, CEO, Founder and Owner, recently confirmed the commitment to the Gainesville-Hall County area by noting that “we are excited to break ground on Phase ll of ProCare Park in Gainesville.  This expansion will allow us to continue to provide innovative solutions and cost saving home delivery pharmacy alternatives to our clients and their members.”

Gainesville-based Carroll Daniel Construction will construct the new building with an expected completion sometime next year.

The new building will house additional operations and customer service representatives and allow ProCare Rx to continue their growth in the 23-acre ProCare Park.  Since completing the first building in 2012 for the company’s headquarters, data center and operations, ProCare Rx has grown their employment to more than 328 associates with 217 of those at the Gainesville headquarters.

“ProCare Rx is leader in its industry in leveraging technology and top quality talent into competitive advantage in servicing prescription drug benefit programs and serving patient needs for millions of lives,” said Tim Evans, Vice President of Economic Development, Greater Hall Chamber.  “From day one, the company has been an outstanding employer and partner in the business community.”

Gainesville Mayor Danny Dunagan added, “The success ProCareRx in Gainesville-Hall County and its current expansion efforts is a reflection on the power of partnerships as the City of Gainesville and Hall County continue to work together to bring jobs to the community.”
