Woman arrested for alleged $22,000 fraud at South Forsyth business

A Forsyth County woman faces charges for allegedly defrauding a South Forsyth business out of $21,935.

Nichole Henson, 31, of Cumming committed the crimes between December 2015 and September 2016, said Cpl. Peter Sabella, Forsyth County Sheriff's Office spokesman, in a news release.

The owner of the business, which was not immediately identified, tipped deputies off to the alleged crimes September 15, and Henson was taken into custody Saturday after "a lengthy investigation."

Henson is charged with theft by taking, financial transaction card theft and financial transaction card fraud.

She was booked into the Forsyth County Jail and posted a bond of $16,830.
