The city of Gainesville has filled two key government positions, according to city manager Bryan Lackey.

Monday morning Lackey announced the hiring of Jeremy Perry as the Chief Financial Officer for the city and the appointment of Janeann Allison as the Administrative Services Director.

"We are very excited to bring someone into our senior management team with Jeremy’s experience, not only in city financial operations, but with his extensive knowledge of our community. His first day will be October 31,” Lackey said.

Perry comes to Gainesville from Flowery Branch where he served as Finance Director since 2012. Also, Perry worked as Financial Manager/Budget Officer for Hall County Government from 2005-2012. He also worked as an auditor for local governments and nonprofits for more than 5 years. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega and an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Gainesville College in Oakwood, Georgia.

“Janeann has served the city well as Human Resources Director and will easily transition into this new position,” Lackey said.

Allison has served as the Gainesville Human Resources Director since 2014. She was named Interim Administrative Services Director in June. She also served as the Habersham County Manager and County Clerk for 8 years.

Allison graduated from the University of North Georgia with a degree in Psychology. She also completed the Management Development class and other advanced certifications at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government.
