COMMERCE — Commerce football put an emphatic stop to a two-game losing skid on Friday, hammering Providence Christian 63-0 in Commerce.
The Tigers (4-2, 3-2 Region 8-A) exploded for 537 yards of offense -- and held the Storm (1-5, 0-5) to 13 total yards.
Cole Chancey led the Commerce onslaught with 107 yards and four touchdowns -- on runs of 9, 10, 30 and 10 yards -- on 10 carries. Lane Sorrow, Nick Patrick, DaJuan Wood (52 yards) and Trevon Wiggins also added touchdown runs for Commerce. Nate Ray also threw a 64-yard touchdown pass to Jalen Dorsey.
The Tigers led 42-0 at the half.
Commerce will travel to face Riverside Military next week.
