ATLANTA — The Jefferson girls volleyball team stayed alive in the Area 8-AAAA tournament with a 25-11, 25-12 win over Stephens County Thursday in the consolation bracket.
The Lady Dragons will take on Oconee County on Saturday with a chance to move into the semifinals.
The win over Stephens County qualified the Lady Dragons for the upcoming state tournament.
Jefferson (30-22) beat Madison county 25-16, 25-14 to open the tournament then lost to North Oconee 25-15, 25-12 to fall into the loser's bracket.
