By For AccessWDUN

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County will be holding the Annual Youth of the Year Competition and Youth of the Year Luncheon in the following weeks. The Youth of the Year Competition is the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s premier recognition program, celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Club teens. Club members who earn the youth of the Year title embody the values of leadership service; academic excellence; and healthy lifestyles. They exemplify the critical impact that Boys Girls Clubs have on the lives of young people.

The Youth of the Year Competition will be held Thursday, January 21st from 5:30 – 7:00 pm at the Fair Street Community Center. Three Club teens – Gabriel Copeland, Myron Dabney and Jayla Williams -  will share their backgrounds and how the Club has impacted their lives. A panel of judges will be on hand to determine the most compelling success story and send that candidate to the Youth of the Year Competition for the state of Georgia.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County’s Youth of the Year winner will be announced at the 3rd Annual Youth of the Year Luncheon at 11:45 am – 1:00 pm at the Fair Street Community Center on Monday, January 25th. Club supporters and community members are invited to attend the luncheon to hear more about the finalists and the great impact the Club has had on their lives.
