BUFORD — Class AAAA No. 1-ranked Buford used a 22-11 first quarter to grab the lead and then cruised to a 74-31 win over North Hall in a battle of Region 8-AAAA unbeaten teams Friday night at the Buford gym.
The two teams came in tied with Chestatee atop the region standings.
The Lady Wolves (14-3, 3-0 Region 8-AAAA) led 41-22 at halftime and then held the Lady Trojans (10-8, 2-1) to just nine second half points, including just two in the fourth quarter.
Tory Ozment and Marissa Bruce led Buford with 13 points each. Audrey Weiner added 12 points and Rachel Dobbs and Pamela Johnson had nine points each for the Lady Wolves.
