Friends of Recovery recently provided a Christmas party for the participants in the Hall County Accountability Court program and their families.
The event included included dinner, which was served by local judges and the treatment teams. Musical entertainment, door prizes, photos with Santa and children's gifts were also a part of the celebration. About 550 adults and 150 children attended.
County officials say Friends of Recovery accomplished all of this through donations from local businesses and individuals. The Accountability Court teaches recovering individuals and their families how to spend healthy, sober time together.
