The Gainesville girls volleyball team dropped a pair of matches Wednesday night to Winder-Barrow and Apalachee.
The Lady Red Elephants lost 2-1 to Winder-Barrow 25-18, 24-26, 27-25 and fell 21-25, 25-23, 25-21 to Apalachee.
Tanai Watson had 11 kills, two aces, and 16 digs and Savannah Roys had 43 assists, seven aces, and 35 digs for Gainesville. Sydney King had 37 digs and two assists, Caroline Mercer had four digs and one ace, and Morgan Frazier added two kills for the Lady Red Elephants.
Tangi Miller added two kills and one block, Bessie Winston had six kills, two digs, and one block, Sally Callahan had four aces and eight digs for Gainesville. Cori Griffith added six kills, Abby Alexander had 11 kills and two blocks, and Anna Wylie had seven kills, seven digs, and five blocks.
Gainesville (29-11, 6-2 Area 8-AAAAA) wraps up the regular season Thursday with a pair of area matches against host Cedar Shoals and Discovery.
